Prepare For Upgrade To 1.10 Module

What this module does

As of OpenMRS version 1.10, all drug order frequencies and dosing units should be set as concepts and not free text, therefore this module was developed to provide an easy way for implementations that have drug orders and wish to upgrade to 1.10 or later version to map all their existing free text drug order frequencies and dosing units to concepts before attempting the upgrade.

Note that mapping any free text frequencies and dose units is mandatory before upgrading from pre 1.10 to 1.10 or later.

Documentation / How-To

1. If you haven't yet installed the module, download and install it first
2. Make sure you have imported or already have frequency and units of measurement concepts in your dictionary, if you are running the latest version of the CIEL dictionary these should be present, if you are running an older version you might need to upgrade to a later version that contains these concepts. If you are not using CIEL dictionary and do not have the necessary concepts set up, you can add them by importing Order Entry Concepts for OpenMRS 1.10 and later Versions
3. Go to the admin page, find the 'Upgrade Helper 1.10 Module' section and click on 'Map units and frequencies to concepts'
   
4. Select the concepts that you wish to map to the respective frequencies and dosing units using the auto completion feature on the form.
5. Click the Save button
