Migrate away from Atlassian Server products [WIP]
Atlassian has announced that they will end support for Server licenses on Feb 2, 2024. We should figure out a robust plan to migrate away in advance.
What we're looking for in alternatives
- OpenMRS ID Integration (LDAP or SSO support) for logging in with same credentials to Talk
- Similar functionality to current Atlassian suite
- Existing migration tools
- Community consensus for the new tools, if we're not going with Atlassian Cloud
Current Options
Atlassian Cloud
Atlassian Cloud is mostly identical to our current suite of tools. This will be our best option if preserving the same functionalities is the top priority. However, there is no integration with OpenMRS ID available at the moment (Atlassian Access requires that SAML email domains be verified, which doesn't work for our diverse community of open source contributors).
