OpenMRS has, over the last decade, become the foundation of many fruitful health information technology implementations around the world.  Our 2015 Annual Report reminds us that OpenMRS has touched millions of lives, and continues to support multiple communities.

Although you may be familiar with what the OpenMRS software is, we have spent the past 6 months expanding our leadership team and responding to the increasing amounts of requests we are receiving.  Right now, over five million patients count on OpenMRS to store their medical records, and multiple countries are using or preparing to use OpenMRS to support their health facilities — countries like Dominica, Kenya, Mozambique, Uganda, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Nigeria.  But, there is so much still to be done.

We have put in place a strategic and operational plan as well as a leadership team to scale for this demand.  We want to work with other organizations and individuals to reach our shared goals of global health equity.

We would love to see how we can work together to improve global health equity.  Please refer to our fundraising plan for additional information and ways that you can help.  Please reach out to Michael Healy if you have other ideas or are interested in setting up a time to speak with us.  Thanks in advance for your help and guidance.
